Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information
Last updated: May 17, 2026
1. Introduction
At Baseline Cyber ("we", "us", "our"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our cybersecurity assessment tool at baseline.compliancehub.wiki (the "Service").
By using our Service, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Assessment Data
All assessment responses, scores, and recommendations are processed entirely within your browser (client-side). No assessment data is transmitted to our servers or stored anywhere outside of your device. When you close or refresh the page, your assessment data is gone.
2.2 Analytics and Cookies
We use Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. This helps us track the number of visitors to the various parts of our site, understand how our website is used, and improve our Service.
Google Analytics stores information about:
- The pages you visit
- How long you spend on each page
- How you came to the site
- What you click on while visiting the site
- Your general location (based on IP address)
- The device and browser you're using
This information is processed in a way that does not identify you personally. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our Service
- Generate tailored cybersecurity recommendations
- Improve, personalize, and expand our Service
- Analyze usage patterns and trends
- Develop new features and functionality
4. Data Retention
We do not retain assessment data. As described in section 2.1, all assessment responses and scores are processed in your browser and are never transmitted to or stored by us. The only persistent data we set is a single localStorage flag (baseline_cyber_welcomed_v2026) that records whether you have seen the welcome screen. No personal information is stored.
5. Your Data Protection Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as:
- The right to access information we hold about you
- The right to request correction of any inaccurate information
- The right to request erasure of your data
- The right to object to processing of your data
- The right to data portability
- The right to withdraw consent
6. Cookie Policy
Our Service uses cookies to enhance your experience and analyze usage. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, but this may prevent some parts of our Service from functioning properly.
For Google Analytics specifically, you can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
